The Life Knowledge Base (or LifeKB) is a body of structured data compiled from biological databases integrated through the LifeOntology. LifeKB has several versions. One of them contains:

• 14,500 protein sequences with all available protein names
• 350,000 taxonomic units
• 20,000 gene and gene product annotation terms
• 150,000 protein interactions
• Semantic annotated data from 600 full-text articles and 20,000 abstracts referred to by interaction databases
