DACH Region Account Executive







Your Role

We are looking for a proven Account Executive in the DACH Region with at least five years of direct data or database management sales experience to join our EMEA sales team. Ontotext is a trusted partner to leading Manufacturing, Automotive, and Energy organizations globally helping them streamline various data intensive operations. Our products are servicing global companies like Schneider Electric, Siemens, and Volkswagen.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience selling to large enterprise corporations and have a strong understanding of their internal and external business processes.

As an Account Executive for the Manufacturing, Automotive, Infrastructure, and Energy verticals, you will be responsible for driving sales of Ontotext products and services into strategic accounts in the DACH Region. You will handle all aspects of the sales process including pipeline development, lead management, qualification, product evaluation, and deal closure.

Activities include:

  • Understand the key business value Ontotext provides for key stakeholders and decision makers to ensure it aligns with their personal goals and company objectives to ensure success.
  • Understand the main use cases for Ontotext technology in the focus verticals.
  • Leverage communication skills with company and industry knowledge to articulate Ontotext’s vision and strategy, while showing Ontotext’s business value and customer impact.
  • Set and manage appropriate customer and partner expectations regarding Ontotext’s proposed solutions from presale, sale, and post-implementation.
  • Develop and lead sales pipeline generation, strategic prospecting, qualify sales opportunities and move multiple transactions simultaneously through the sales pipeline.
  • Meet and exceed sales goals (quotas) through strategic prospecting, qualifying, managing, and closing sales opportunities within large enterprise accounts. Sales tools available include Marketing ABM Campaigns, ZoomInfo, HubSpot, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Manage and track customer and transactional information in a CRM system. We use HubSpot.
  • Deliver accurate pipeline development and forecast reporting through HubSpot.
  • Travel to customer locations throughout the country in support of sales efforts.
  • Be a trusted liaison between customer requirements and Ontotext R&D for product features.

Your Profile

  • Bilingual in German and English is a mandatory requirement.
  • Five years of full-cycle enterprise software sales experience, with proven success selling into large enterprise accounts. You’ve worked with sophisticated sales and have seven-figure deal experience. Ideally candidate will have previous success selling into the leading global manufacturing, automotive, and energy companies in the DACH Region.
  • Experience in selling data management and analytics or knowledge management technology.
  • Understanding of semantic technology, graph databases, or business intelligence is an advantage.
  • A proven record of consistent overachievement of sales goals in a large geographic territory.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in an engineering related field.
  • Strong business acumen needed to explain how Ontotext can help prospective customers meet their business objectives.
  • Ability to manage sales opportunities from the beginning to end stages throughout the sales lifecycle.
