Ontotext took part in the most famous engineering challenge among technical-oriented students – BEST Engineering Week. The event aims to get business closer to the students and to give young talents the opportunity to start their career in some of the top engineering companies in Europe. It is organized for the 6th year in Bulgaria, and is sponsored by companies such as Ontotext, Melexis, SAP, LEM, Vivacom, Visteon, etc.
Ontotext gave the students the difficult task of developing a Facebook Photo Matcher based on Metadata. Our challenge attracted a lot of students but only 12 were selected to take part. They visited Ontotext on the 23th of March and spent a complete day in the company, learning about semantic technologies and working on the task. The students performed very well and will be given the chance for an individual job interview. The ones who present good basic technical knowledge and willingness to develop in the field of semantic technologies will be invited to join Ontotext.
All participants in BEW 2016 were able to meet us over a drink on the Companies’ Night, which took place on the 25th of March at 03:00 pm, at the Technical University.
