The alliance serves as a global, not-for-profit association of Pharma and Biotech companies, technology vendors, scientific publishers and research organizations that work together to lower barriers to innovation in Research and Development in the field of Life Sciences.
Pistoia Alliance is named after the city in which it was founded. The alliance projects aim to transform R&D innovation through open and pre-competitive collaboration among the involved parties. Via the different groups, the members of Pistoia Alliance develop best practices and technology pilots to overcome common obstacles.
By joining an industry organization of close to 100 members within Pharma and Life Sciences, Ontotext will help advance pre-competitive collaboration with Life Science R&D peers and technology vendors. The company will also contribute to internal projects and will participate in member-only meetings, receptions and network events, shaping the future of the information technologies in Pharma and Life Sciences.
