Ontotext Refine is an intuitive no-code tool to clean and transform structured data to RDF using its visual mapping interface.
The product enables the design and testing of data integration flows in an interactive mode. Once the user needs to automate the transformations, Refine CLI, developed as part of Ontotext Refine 1.1, comes into play. It allows users to set up a transformation using the visual interface until the result is satisfactory and then export it and apply it to batches of data with the same structure or embed it in a more complex workflow.
Refine CLI integrates almost all of the useful functionalities of Ontotext Refine and makes them available from the command line. The principle is simple: provide tabular data and a RDF mapping SPARQL query or mapping JSON and Refine CLI will output the desired RDF. Furthermore, it is possible to optionally provide an Open Refine transformations script for performing additional data operations on top of the raw data.
Besides the addition of Refine CLI, Ontotext has also updated Open Refine to version 3.6.1 and now all the lovely improvements provided by the Open Refine community can be used to produce RDF of even higher quality. Last but not least, users can now include their own custom OpenRefine extensions in Ontotext Refine.
