Ontotext has won cascade funding for the TEKG (Transparency Energy Knowledge Graph) project by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme as part of the INTERRFACE 3rd Open Call for Proposals.

EKG’s main goal is to demonstrate the benefits of the semantic approach for improving the quality of ENTSO-E Transparency data and developing flexible analytics in the electricity domain. For this purpose, Ontotext has created a small Transparency Energy Knowledge Graph using their leading products GraphDB and Ontotext Platform.

The main project objectives are to:

  • Ensure that the knowledge graph will provide value to ENTSO-E (for data validation) and market participants (for analytics) and is feasible to implement.
  • Create detailed designs and models to ensure the correct and efficient work of data analysts (for conversions and queries) and developers (for software).
  • Develop a working version of the integrated data and developed platform.
  • Ensure data is converted correctly, semantic conversions are performant, data update works correctly and developed analytics report correctly.
  • Ensure smooth project execution and proper dissemination of results.

Ontotext will work on EKG for 6 months as a cascade funding partner for thе INTERRFACE project use case  “Utilization of Existing ENTSO-E Transparency Platform Data”.
