Ontotext Releases an Improved Version of the InnoRate Platform

Ontotext has released a fine-tuned version of the InnoRate Platform - a novel service that evaluates and benchmarks tech-driven companies. It is based on the well-established Korean Technology Rating System, which has a track record of assessing over 200,000 cases and helping SMEs acquire more than €75 billion.

In the past year, Ontotext’s work on InnoRate (Data-driven tools for supporting and improving the decision-making processes of investors for financing innovative SMEs) has focused on demand-driven fine-tuning activities to the platform implementing the project’s novel Technology Rating System (TRS). The developments followed an iterative process based on the feedback collected during the pilot phase operation.

The major improvements in the platform features include:

  • richer faceted search;
  • more detailed information for company comparison;
  • improved download of quick assessment and Innorate TRS reports;
  • an added option for experts to get assigned and make deep assessments.

In addition, the following new functionalities were added:

  • an admin panel for creating expert profiles and assigning them to companies for deep assessment and more;
  • deep assessment request dashboard;
  • expert dashboard;
  • Technology Transfer Officer dashboard.

Ontotext leads the 3rd work package of the project: Design and development of InnoRate’s service platform and tools and is responsible for the overall architecture and system design of the InnoRate platform. The initial version of the platform was released at the end of February 2020.

The latest platform developments were first presented at InnoRate’s 4th Project Meeting on 27-28 May 2021.
