Marin will talk about the important advantages of RDF graph databases when it comes to data management. He will elaborate on the expressiveness and the limitations of the SPARQL query language, giving  examples of complex queries with lots of patterns, filters, aggregates and full-text searches running over very large volumes of RDF data.

Most importantly, Marin will share his thoughts on when it is more efficient to have an external search engine (i.e. Lucene, Solr, Elasticsearch) or a NoSQL database (such as MongoDB or Cassandra) to handle part of the query filtering process for full-text search or faceted search queries. All examples will be integrated in the standard SPARQL interfaces of GraphDB™ through its Connectors.

Come and hear about the practical benefits and most common use cases of using Lucene, Solr and Elasticsearch within SPARQL queries.

Follow up with Atanas Kiryakov (CEO), Marin Dimitrov (CTO), and Peio Popov (MD, USA)  at Ontotext booth 309 at NoSQL Now! and Smart Data Conference.
