On 25.03.2019, Ontotext was awarded “The Most Active Company Attracting the Most Funds from the ‘Horizon 2020’ Programme” by the Ministry of Education and Science. Deputy Minister Karina Angelieva handed out Certificates of Achievement to 16 organizations in 9 categories.

This is the largest program in the world that funds targeted research projects, individual researchers and innovation developers. The program started in 2014 and will end in 2020. We wanted to assess where we were, what our participation in the program was and to use these awards as a motivation for our best and most active participants, said Angelieva.

During the awards ceremony, the Deputy Minister announced that ‘Horizon Europe’ would be the successor of the ‘Horizon 2020’ Programme. She added that the new program would be implemented by 2030 with a budget of 100 billion euro, of which Bulgaria hoped to win 1 billion euro.
