The LOD.AC project implemented by NII aims to make use of various types of academic information by a Linked Data approach. With its extensive experience in Linked Data and other Semantic Technologies, Ontotext provides invaluable support in achieving NII goals.
In 2010, the BBC used Ontotext technology to bring a new approach to publishing and managing their content. In 2013, with Ontotext technology at its heart, the BBC went even further and developed its Linked Data Platform.
Ontotext delivers semantic solutions for cultural heritage organizations in support of collaborative research, creative re-use of metadata, knowledge representation, artifact aggregation, data silo integration and search applications for research and scientific information.
The International Centre for Asset Recovery (ICAR) within the Basel Institute on Governance uses Ontotext’s technology to create a prototype asset tracking system that could be used to expedite the recovery of internationally distributed stolen national assets.
