Databases and models are optimized for different purposes. Some databases are great for text searches, others for time series data and others yet, for metadata.
Sometimes, though, you have to work across models and databases. For RDF databases, this can be achieved with a reconciliation API. This API takes some data and integrates it with your own model.
However, all publicly available reconciliation endpoints have their downsides. We have built our own reconciliation solution based on GraphDB and Elasticsearch. The main hurdle which our service overcomes is ease of use – it’s now simple to build a working service over your own data and schema. And if you want something more advanced, you have full control over the reconciliation queries. Leveraging the power of Elasticsearch, we aim for ease and flexibility at scale.
