Ontotext and Semantic Web Company’s strategic partnership enables users to work with the feature-rich PoolParty Semantic Suite while managing knowledge graphs composed of billions of edges in GraphDB. The two companies are constantly improving the integration of their flagship products in order to meet the highest requirements of knowledge workers and experts, as well as enterprise architects and system operations teams.
This webinar features Ontotext’s CTO Vassil Momtchev and Head of Semantic Solutions Ivaylo Kobakov, and Web Company’s CTO Robert David. Together they will talk about:

- A demo of how to use the PoolParty Graph Editor, editing a knowledge graph with over 300 million edges. Ontotext’s NOW service uses this graph for analysis of news articles. This way we get the best of two worlds: the benefits of using a large KG for text analysis, but still be able to finetune the NLP outcomes to specific needs by combining it with controlled vocabularies and curating relevant parts of it.
- PoolParty’s new front-end search and exploration tool developed using the new GraphQL interfaces to GraphDB.

Ivaylo Kabakov
Head of Semantic Analytics Solutions, Ontotext
Ivaylo Kabakov is the head of Semantic Analytics Solutions team at Ontotext. His pursuit of interesting challenges brought him to Ontotext, where his passion for making computers do fascinating things met with the cutting-edge developments in semantic technologies. Ivaylo’s involvement with the company has guided him through the full stack of duties for delivering solutions to clients. His strive has always been for adding practical value while doing it with a pedantic focus on quality.
Robert David
CTO, Semantic Web Company
Robert David joined Semantic Web Company in 2014 as a software developer with expertise in Python, Java and web development. He also focuses heavily on data management solutions as ETL, data conversion, data linking, reasoning and triple store technologies making use of RDF, SPARQL and other W3C semantic web standards. In 2015, he led the PoolParty development team and was responsible for the product development and quality assurance of the PoolParty Semantic Suite. Robert is currently CTO of the Semantic Web Company and also participates in European research projects coordinating the strategic development of product components using research results.
Vassil Momtchev
CTO, Ontotext
Vassil Momtchev is CTO of Ontotext and product manager of its flagship product GraphDB. Vassil has an experience of more than 15 years in software development in various domains such as life sciences, pharmaceuticals, healthcare and telecommunications. Vassil joined Ontotext in 2005 and since then has managed the development of complex enterprise knowledge management solutions. He also participated in several collaborative research projects, working together with the leading academic groups in Europe in the fields related to semantic technologies and AI.
Christian Blaschke
Director of Technical Product Management, SWC
Christian Blaschke is the Director of Technical Product Management at Semantic Web Company and has been a contributing to the development of PoolParty since 2012. Prior to this, he obtained a PhD in the field of molecular biology at the Autonomous University in Madrid focusing on text mining applied to molecular biology and biomedicine and has worked on the development of a semantic search engine for biomedical researchers and coordinated a bioinformatics research institute.
